Nomination Guidelines
- Nominations will be accepted on a quarterly basis in January, April, July, and at October’s annual meeting, where nominations are only taken from the floor. In January, April, and July, nominations will be accepted via email at governance@seiu509.org. Nominations do not need to be seconded, except at an annual meeting.
- If we receive more than one nomination for a seat and more than one member accepts the nomination, an election will be held.
- Only members in good standing are eligible for nomination. Members must be dues payers for 6 months prior to holding office. Members may nominate themselves or be nominated by fellow SEIU 509 members. The nominating member also needs to be a member in good standing.
